Head Chef
As a Head Chef in our high-end restaurant located in Salalah, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operation. With your exceptional cooking skills and creative flair, you will lead a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff to deliver an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop new menus that cater to the diverse tastes of our guests
- Manage inventory and ensure timely ordering of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality
- Train and mentor junior chefs, ensuring consistent execution of dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor and control food costs, wastage, and portion sizes to maintain profitability
- Create daily specials using locally sourced ingredients to showcase the best of Salalah's culinary offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Passion for creating innovative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Education and Certifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required
- Certification in food safety and hygiene is a plus
Salary:
