Head Chef in Mecca
We are a luxury hotel in Mecca, seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that reflect the cultural and regional preferences of our guests
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and specials that align with our brand
- Manage food costs by minimizing waste and monitoring portion control
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu planning
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Knowledge of international cuisine, particularly Middle Eastern cuisine
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
