Executive Chef
We are in need of a skilled Executive Chef to join our team at a prestigious hotel in Nizwa. This is an urgent position that requires someone with a passion for cooking and a strong work ethic. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning and food preparation to managing kitchen staff and ensuring high-quality food is served to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan menus and create new dishes to keep up with current food trends
- Prepare and cook meals according to standard recipes and portion sizes
- Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other team members
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Develop relationships with local vendors for fresh ingredients
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines set by management
- Collaborate with restaurant managers to create special event menus or promotions
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role preferred but not required
- Passion for cooking and creating new dishes
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and work with other departments within the hotel
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, schedules, and budgets
Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Nizwa (Preference given to candidates already located in Nizwa or willing to relocate)
