Executive Chef - Al Buraymi, Oman
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Al Buraymi, Oman. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the quality of food and service meets our high standards. You will also be responsible for menu planning, ordering supplies, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative menus that showcase local and international flavors
- Prepare high-quality dishes consistently to meet customer expectations
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain a clean, efficient, and organized kitchen
- Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are available at all times
- Monitor food costs and work towards maintaining budgeted costs
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine with a focus on Omani cuisine is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Proven track record of menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Al Buraymi, Oman (accommodation provided)
