Head Chef - International Cuisine
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our team in creating and executing a diverse menu of international cuisine at our restaurant in Mecca. As a Pakistani or Malayalee chef with experience working in English speaking environments, you will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of the kitchen, from menu development to food preparation and presentation. Your creativity and passion for food will be key in continuously improving our menu and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus featuring international cuisine, taking into consideration local ingredients and cultural preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and assistants
- Oversee food preparation to ensure consistent quality and timely service
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment according to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with management to create budget plans and control costs
- Stay updated on industry trends and implement new techniques or recipes as appropriate
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints related to food quality or service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef specializing in international cuisine (Pakistani or Malayalee preferred)
- Familiarity with English speaking environments (fluency not required)
- Extensive knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, customers, and management
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity and passion for food with an eye for detail
