Merchandiser Manager
The Merchandiser Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of merchandising operations in Salalah, including product selection, pricing, placement, and promotion. The ideal candidate will have experience in the retail industry and a strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and increase profitability
- Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and consumer preferences
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of merchandise
- Analyze sales data to track performance and make adjustments as needed
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess inventory
- Train and supervise merchandising staff, providing guidance on product selection, display techniques, and customer service
- Work closely with marketing team to create effective promotions and displays that attract customers' attention
- Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly
- Oversee visual merchandising to ensure store displays are visually appealing and highlight key products
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in retail merchandising or buying role
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills a plus
