Boeing's Product Support and Services Information Technology is currently looking for a Senior Programmer Lead to join us in supporting the CACTUS Product Development Team in Bellevue WA Charleston SC Denver CO Hazelwood MO Kent WA Plano TX Renton WA or Tukwila WA. CACTUS is a content authoring management publishing and delivery system for BGS Training and Professional Services.
A successful candidate will have a demonstrated history as a Technical Leader. You will lead the design development and deployment of solutions participate in Agile software development teams based out of the Puget Sound to deliver on commitments for product enhancements provide support to BGS Maintenance and Flight Training Solutions Services and play a key role in driving the technical direction of the product. While CACTUS is the primary product under the purview of this role it is expected that the Senior Programmer Lead will also provide technical leadership for other products within the T&PS space as needed (this includes collaboration across other product teams to drive large scoped initiatives).
Position Responsibilities:
Lead technical teams to design program test implement maintain and document computing applicationsAnalyze gather and evaluate end user requirementsWork with Product Specialists System and Technical Architects UX Designers and Business SMEs to design systems and programs to meet highly complex business needsLead efforts to design develop test and deploy complex computing code and database objects to modify upgrade and maintain software applicationsProvide technical support for Production Support issuesReview system performance and identify and recommend improvementsProvide leadership and work guidance to offshore development teams and less experienced personnelConduct quality assurance activities (i.e. design reviews and code reviews) for onshore and offshore development teamsProvide guidance to technical teams on development estimation code review testing code branching and deployment processesDevelop complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programsCreate appropriate technical documentation while performing work assignments
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teamâs discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ yearsâ experience in building and deploying Java Applications5+ yearsâ experience with software programming processes including but not limited to version control block point packaging and releasing etc.5+ yearsâ experience with relational database design PL/SQL scripting and optimization3+ years in a technical leadership role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Understanding of Spring FrameworkKnowledge of Enterprise Content Management SystemsKnowledge of SOA and WebServices â REST/RestfulExperience with unit / component / integration testing to ensure high standards before delivery.Understanding of Cloud technologies â Azure Pivotal Cloud FoundryExperience with front end web programming and database backend developmentExperience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) using appropriate code versioning build and test automation toolsExperience in leading offshore development teams including defining coding standards and good development practicesExperience with conducting design reviews and guiding developers on the production of effective designs to solve complex problems
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience Master+7 years' related work experience 13 years' related work experience etc.)

Summary pay range: $121550 â $164450
