Reports to: Human Resources Manager
In this role you will:
Own Time and Attendance and payroll processing for the plant Responsible for accurate and timely processing transmitting and reconciliation of hourly payroll for a bi-weekly pay cycle using a timekeeping software (i.e. Workday)Develop an expert level understanding of Workday timekeeping software and site payroll policies provide training and technical support to the facilityEnsure that pay codes and schedules are properly maintained in the timekeeping softwareImplement payroll procedures monitor adherence and identify opportunities for coaching and process improvementsAssist with investigation of payroll issues and correct timekeeping errors leading to inaccurate pay in a timely mannerFacilitate new hire orientation and onboarding by managing assignment of lockers issuing employee badges and providing training in areas of expertiseManage site employee store including staffing ordering pricing inventory and sales tax reportingSupport site communication processes through plant emails flyers and updating video monitors and bulletin boards etc.Responsible for supporting the execution of plant events meetings and visits as well as community relations activitiesPerform general administrative duties including greeting visitors mail distribution office supply inventory/ordering FedEx shipments insurance certificate tracking and reconciling miscellaneous invoicesPerform recruiting and hiring activities for technician openings such as screening scheduling administering assessments and interviewingManage local vendor relationships for employee uniforms and cafeteria vending productsProvide timely and accurate reporting including but not limited to state census information employee attendance leaves of absence etc.Process unemployment claims and may participate in unemployment hearingsAssess plant processes in areas of responsibility identify areas for improvement and implement changes as neededOther duties as requested to support plant operations

Associate degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 2 years payroll experienceDemonstrates a high degree of diplomacy confidentiality and discretionStrong organizational skills detail-oriented and able to effectively multi-task and meet deadlinesWillingness to work a flexible schedule that most effectively supports the organizationWillingness to occasionally work off-shifts or weekends as needed
