Executive Chef - Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead
Waldorf Astoria is looking for an Executive Chef to oversee this gorgeous Atlanta property!
Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods this 42-story tower has 127 rooms (plus 47 residences) over 10000 square feet of meeting space and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal Brassica Restaurant Bar and In-Room Dining.
In this role you will oversee all back-of-house food and beverage operations (culinary and stewarding) managing a team of 20+ and reporting directly to the Director of Operations.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader who thrives in a high-volume environment with a talent for developing others and passion for creating unique dining experiences. At least 5 years of culinary management experience and a background in fine dining is required. Prior luxury hotel experience is highly preferred.

What will I be doing?
As Executive Chef you would be responsible for directing and administering the planning preparation production and control of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Direct and oversee all culinary operations to include but not limited to production of all hotel meals food quality and presentation compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations team member productivity and performance implementation of policies and procedures cost controls and overall profitability.
- Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Director of Outlets.
- Interact with guests and clients to monitor and assess satisfaction trends evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with federal state local and company health safety sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
- Perform general management duties including but not limited to systems management budget and forecasting report generation department management and meeting participation and facilitation.
- Monitor and develop team member performance to include but not limited to providing supervision and professional development scheduling conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
- Recruit interview and train team members.
What are we looking for?
Mandatory
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two-year degree or apprenticeship
- Up to date ServSafe Manager or comparable sanitation certification
- Minimum of five years in the luxury hotel culinary business
- Minimum of five years management experience as Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef of a larger operation
- Thorough knowledge of gastronomy
- Working knowledge of beverages
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Working knowledge of mathematics for recipes ordering and financial research purposes
- Working knowledge of computers and MS office software
- Ability to delegate responsibility pay attention to detail handle multiple tasks and show a high level of patience.
- Excellent communication skills in all aspects: written verbal and non-verbal.
